1. Wet wipes.
Germs and dirt are everywhere. I find bringing wet wipes like facial, hand, and feminine wipes useful and helpful in keeping my hands, face, body, and things clean. I also use this as a makeup remover before sleeping on airplanes or trains.
2. Neck pillow, socks and scarf.
Whether it’s short or long-haul flights or even just road trips, these are the basic things to bring to make traveling more comfortable. Traveling is an opportunity to take short naps, that’s why I’m so happy to bring my favorite and dependable neck pillow with hoodie every time I travel. Temperatures may vary and it may get chilly, so it is important to keep my body warm by putting on socks and an all-season scarf that I use as my blanket too.
3. A good book, a holy rosary, an iPad and a notebook.
These are things that keep me from boredom or if I can’t sleep. Traveling is one of the best times for me to read a novel or travel books, watch a movie or play video games, pray the rosary, and write on my journal.
4. Snacks and a reusable water bottle.
Food and water are quite expensive in airports, bus and train stations. A reusable water bottle is handy to refill with water or with my favorite drink. Before I travel, I prepare emergency tea or coffee bags, crackers, cookies, fruits, chips and candies/chocolates that I put in one ziplock or reusable plastic bag. I don’t want to arrive in my destination hungry and grumpy.
5. Passport, atm/credit card, cash, cellphone and charger, earphones, emergency medicines, and travel itinerary.
These are the most important things I secure and carry with me all the time when traveling abroad.
6. Ziplock
I always bring few pieces of ziplock whenever I travel. For early flights or tours, I use them for emergency food take-away. This reusable plastic bags keep my toiletries neat and clean. I am glad they come in different sizes so I can sort things accordingly. And since they are transparent, I can easily find what I’m looking for.
7. Foldable eco-friendly bag.
My all-time favorite doll that I bring even when I’m not traveling. This versatile doll can be converted into a bag for grocery, traveling, and shopping.
8. Makeup, moisturizers, hand lotion and lip balm.
It is important to take care of my skin by applying moisturizer on face, and lotion on my hands to keep them from dryness especially on long-haul flights. I am always a victim of dry and cracked lips, that’s why I always keep my vaseline lip balm within reach. And most of all, I want to make sure to look good by applying simple make up like foundation or BB cream, mascara and lipstick before arriving in my destination.
